This September marks the twentieth year of this blog, if you can believe that. Personally, I have a hard time wrapping my brain around it, so no judgment if you don't.
One of the craziest things about documenting the mundane events of a lifetime is looking back over how quickly the years pass, and how, while some things change, some things remain stubbornly the same.
People have come into our lives; we have gained new family members and friends, and, in many cases, friends who have become family.
Hugh and I have been incredibly lucky in the friend department because we got to watch not only our children grow and evolve, but our friends' children, too.
We were especially blessed to have Chris and Jana's family, who grew up side by side with Queen B and the Man-Cub, which, if you have been reading here for any period of time over the last twenty years, you are well aware.
This weekend, we were privileged to attend the wedding of their youngest, the baby of our families, Lexi Lou.
Queen B flew in for the weekend, so it was almost like old times (Shanti and the Man-Cub had a prior commitment and couldn't attend, unfortunately), and we had a great time celebrating the couple.
We are so grateful to be doing life with these people.
