We Got a Two-for-One Deal on the Tux

We just got back from the Man-Cub's second prom of the weekend, and, if I am this tired, I can only imagine how the Cub is feeling right about now. After all, he got in late last night (well, technically, it was early this morning), played baseball, and then turned right around and drove an hour away for dinner, Grand March, dancing, and after-prom festivities; I, on the other hand, came home from the baseball game and took a three hour nap and I am still dragging.

Man, I hope he makes it home safely tonight (please, Lord).

I also hope he has a good time. He seemed to be, and, he and his date looked amazing for Round Two. The theme was Under the Sea, and, I thought the Juniors did a really good job with the decorations.

The mother of the Cub's date assured me that they took a ton of photos prior to the Grand March and that she will make sure I get them, which I thought was really nice of her. In the meantime, here is what I managed to get. Did I make a good lookin' kid or what?

Totally rhetorical question, by the way.

And, I actually made two of them.

And, with the close of this post, thus endeth my High School Prom phase. It's been such a pleasure to
go through it with these two kids and I will always cherish the memories.

Prom 2017: A Night at the Cinema

Here it is, folks; my last prom. Well, not my last prom, my last prom took place thirty years ago (yikes), but, you know what I'm saying.

The Cub, his date, and his friends all looked smashing, and, I think they had a good time. My friends and I had a good time because all we had to do was to show up with a chunk of change and our cameras; the nice lady at a local event center handled the rest, including decor, food, and a location that provided a lot of good photo opportunities. She even provided drinks and appetizers for the parents! Where was she the last two years of Queen B's high school career?

Anyway, as I was saying, the evening was a success and we have the pictures to prove it (hang in there, this might take a minute...or, ten).

The Cub's date was a friend from another school, and, as fate would have it, her prom is being held tonight, so, guess where the Cub is going? That's right, to her prom. We plan to drive up for the Grand March, so, technically, the this wasn't my last last prom.

I could totally live in a world were technicalities held off the inevitability of final endings.

Just sayin'.
