Shanti's due date is just a little over a week away; a week and one day, to be precise. We have already started a betting pool, with guesses ranging from the 7th (Shanti's guess, which she realized was super optimistic and totally unrealistic; we have since told her that she was entitled to a new guess, since she is the one carrying the kid), to the 21st.
I guessed the 14th, not because I really believe that Goose will make her debut before her due date, but because Shanti is at the point of misery (Moms out there, you know this stage well) and I wanted to show some solidarity for her suffering.
Anyhoodle, babies come when babies come, so we will all just have to be patient.
A while back, I got to do a maternity session for the kids, so once Goose is here, and the misery of late pregnancy in the heat of summer is not but a memory, they will be able to look back on the experience and reminisce fondly. I hope.
