Friday Favorites, November Edition #2

Happy Friday!

With Mom's surgery on Tuesday, this has been a very short work week for me; I'm not complaining!

Wednesday evening, when we were certain that she was no longer under the influence of the anesthesia or pain killers, I took my leave of her and made my way to the yoga studio in Hooterville. It had snowed several inches overnight and into the morning, so I expected to see a light turnout for the class. I was, however, really surprised to find myself the sole student.

The instructor didn't mind that situation one little bit, and, I got a personalized session with her that left me feeling pampered and energized at the same time. Probably won't happen again, but definitely a favorite this week.

Earlier in the week, I went to the Marshalls in Hooterville and I spotted the cutest Hydro Flask. Unlike some people in my family (cough Queen B cough), I'm not a collector of tumblers. This one, however, was simply too cute to pass up and is now a staple in my yoga bag.

Speaking of Queen B, guess who's coming home today! She flies in for a really quick weekend visit and I can't wait to see her. She is, for sure, my favorite daughter (not to be confused with Shanti, who is my favorite Daughter-in-Love).

While she's home, I'm going to ask for her help in getting the village boxes out of the attic (Hugh and the Man-Cub will be hunting this weekend and are of no use to me (other than providing meat for the freezer, I mean), so having her help will be a favorite.

If I can get the village constructed this weekend, I'll be thrilled. The rest of my Christmas decorations will go up slowly over the next few weeks, with the goal of having it all ready to light up upon our return from Texas on Thanksgiving weekend.

In the meantime, I have not completely forsaken the gratitude holiday; I have a small display set up in its' honor. Gurley candles are always a favorite.

And that's it for today's edition. I'm off to await my daughter's arrival and to get on with what I'm hoping is a productive weekend. Always a favorite.
