We arrived home yesterday afternoon, exhausted from pulling the second all-nighter of our vacation; I love Hawaii, but, man, does getting there and back take it out of me!
Happily, I am still energized and relaxed from eight days of sun, sea, sand, and fresh pineapple, so, I should be able to make it through the day. Also, happily, I am still on vacation from Day Job, so, I have the week to get myself together here at home, which, should give me plenty of time to recap our trip.
I'm planning to break the week up into separate posts, mainly because we did waaayyy too much to capture in a single post, but also because I want to do justice to each experience that we had, after all; we will never visit Maui for the first time, again.
That said; I have every intention of visiting Maui for a second time, someday. I mean, who wouldn't?
I have well over a thousand photos, and it's going to take me some time to go through them. I also have video from the Man-Cub's Go-Pro camera, as well as video that the girls shot during our trip, so, to say our trip was well documented is an understatement. Now, I just have to write posts that do justice to the pictures; this could take a while. So, if you recall my earlier Hawaii recaps, you may remember me comparing the posts to your Aunt Bertha's slideshow of her Grand Canyon vacation that one time, back in 1970...and, you may want to sit this out; no judgment! If, on the other hand, you are one of those rare individuals who actually enjoyed watching Aunt Bertha's navel-gazing, then, welcome! The next few posts are for you!
We'll get started later today, with the story of our never-ending journey to Maui, otherwise known as the first all-nighter of the trip.
Buckle up, friends, it's going to be a long ride!
