Yesterday, the temperature reached almost ninety degrees and I thought for sure I was on the verge of spontaneous combustion as I watered my flowers in the sunshine (turns out, that was actually just the hot flashes).
Today, the high was forty-three degrees and the sky rained slush all day long.
Tonight, there is a very good possibility that we will get a decent freeze, which means that I need to drag my ass outside to cover my hydrangeas, which, ironically, are at the very cusp of blooming (see yesterday: ninety degrees and sunny). I would complain more about that, but, our neighbors on the Eastern Slope are shoveling snow right now, so...yeah. No complaints, here!
Lately, it feels like all I hear is people wishing for a return to normal. Well, folks, this, right here, is the weather version of it for Colorado.
Be careful what you ask for.
