Weekend Wrap-Up: We Went Fouuuurrrr It

Golf humor, ha!

This past weekend was a blur, so I better write about it before I forget it, and, since the main focus of the weekend was golf; golf humor seems to be the way to go.

Friday was a marathon of preparations for Saturday's tournament; I ran back and forth to the golf course delivering hole signs, banners, cases of water, and 116 insulated coolers filled with swag for the golfers. By the end of the day, I was exhausted and hangry, so, Hugh took me to our favorite Italian restaurant. The business has recently moved to a new location and it was our first time there. The food, as always, was on point. The new atmosphere? Not so much; the old vibe was mellow Italian Grandma's House, the new place is Modern Urban. We'll probably be back, but I'm sad about the change.

Saturday, I was at the course by 7:00 and I honestly didn't stop moving until I rolled back into my driveway at 5:30 that evening. It was a great event, though. 29 teams played the course and we raised an additional $2000 in donations, alone. I won't have a full accounting until the bills are in, but I estimate that we will clear right around $30,000. Not a bad way to spend a day.

Sunday was recovery mode, with a few household chores and, as always, several hours at the hardware store.

This week, I am wrapping up as many loose ends as possible at work so that I can enjoy a nice long weekend with Queen B, who is flying in tomorrow. Thursday, we are all headed to Mayberry for Stampede and to help Mom with her 60th High School Reunion, so, it will be another busy weekend.

As an aside, whatever happened to lazy summer days? I don't seem to be having any of those, lately.
