Friday Favorites, Friday Before Christmas Edition

It's hard to believe that Christmas is just three days away; I feel woefully unprepared, despite having pretty much everything that I need.

In addition to having the things that I need, I also have some things that I did not truly need, but am happy to have snagged, regardless. This includes the cutest tins from the Marks & Spencer display at Target this year. When I saw the display, it reminded me of Erin and Kristi, so how could I pass it up?

Kristi has since made it her mission to go to the Marks & Spencer near them to see if they have different versions of the tins that I got.

And, what did I get? A tin that plays music, two tins (three, actually; I went back for one that isn't pictured below) that light up, and a tin that has a projector carousel that both plays music and projects a holiday scene as it spins. I displayed them in the kitchen window, with the cedar, cranberry, and orange garland above them. I like to think that the display is a good representation of something the girls might see in Wales.

In other favorites; Josh wines offers free custom labels for their bottles and you can bet I snagged up a couple in celebration of the Man-Cub and Daughter-in-Love's recent engagement. Still no official wedding date, but Shanti did purchase her dress recently, so I am hopeful that it will be soon!

Yesterday, we officially closed Not So New Job until next year (hopefully!). We had our staff Secret Santa earlier in the month and our office manager drew my name. We had a twenty dollar limit, so you can imagine my surprise when I opened up two huge mercury glass ornaments, which are usually priced between $30-$50 apiece. She was so proud of finding them at the local Heirlooms for Hospice store, not only because she knew I would love them, but because her purchase went to supporting a cause that she is passionate about. I love how they look on my tree!

We busted out the ugly sweaters for our celebration, which was fun. Then, a few days later, we posed for a picture for our official holiday card to our partners and social media followers.

Switching gears, I have been having a moment with vintage Christmas decor this year, and I love the items that I have picked up at the local antique stores and online vintage markets.

Mixing vintage finds with reproduction items from the same era is a fun new way for me to add seasonal fun to locations in the house that don't always get decorated.

And, speaking of decorations; it's almost time for my annual Holiday Home Tour. As you know, it took Hugh an hot minute to get the outside displays lit this year, so I am a bit behind on pictures. However, I should be able to post, soon.

Fingers crossed, anyway.

Happy Friday!
