27 Angels in His Kingdom, Tonight

It's really hard to whine about being behind on Christmas baking when so many parents are facing another night without their child.

My heart is broken for the families in Newtown, Connecticut and, today, I really would give my kingdom for just one more day; one more day for those parents to be able to hold their children. One more day for a disturbed young man to weigh his actions against his conscience.

Since we can't have that day, I will instead say another prayer for the families, as well as a prayer for the family of the shooter, and, a special prayer for the families of the teachers who shepherded their classes into the kingdom of Heaven, yesterday.

Peace on Earth, Lord.

We could really use it.
