There were a lot of things that I wanted to be when I was growing up. A writer. A teacher. A lawyer. A truck driver (the television series B.J. and the Bear was huge at the time and I was determined to cruise the country in my eighteen wheeler, monkey companion by my side).
Those dreams changed over time, but, one thing never changed; I wanted to be a mother. A good mother.
I am forever grateful to Queen B and the Man-Cub for fulfilling that dream (and Hugh; he had a rather big part in it as well). There are a lot of things that I would change in my life if given the opportunity, but, being their mama is not among them.
In fact, if I could go back in time and have my choice of days to re-live, the days that they were born would be at the top of my list.
Thank you for giving me a chance to celebrate Mother's Day, kids. I love you infinity and beyond.
