Life Lately

This month is already flying by, and while I know it feels that way partly because Thanksgiving was so late this year, it still feels like the holiday season is being rushed. So, I'm doing my best to soak up all the Christmas cheer before it is too late, including watching my favorite Christmas shows, like Rudolph.

I'm listening to my collection of Christmas vinyl.

I'm wrapping gifts as soon as I purchase them.

I've set up the cocoa bar.

Mom, the Man-Cub, Shanti, and I attended the annual Christmas show at the community theater after dining on our favorites at one of the nicest restaurants in Hooterville.

And, I made the base of my eggnog recipe. It is currently chilling in the fridge so the flavors can deepen.

Hugh is also getting busy. He finished the outdoor decorating yesterday, and we feel confident that we have a chance at placing in the top three during the town's holiday decorating contest.

I plan to start baking this week and attend Petticoat Junction's Parade of Lights.

The older I get, the more I appreciate the traditions that Hugh and I have made for the family over the years, and the more I wish that time would slow down a little bit to allow us more time to enjoy them.
