Faster Than a Speeding Bullet

I have even more reason to be happy that I was not chosen to sit on the jury this week: had I been chosen, I would have missed the salad luncheon that we had at work today. That would have sucked because we had some really excellent salads.

Also, the trial is starting to heat up and, from what I have read in the newspaper, the young victim was, indeed, bullied on the witness stand by the defense attorney. I would have had a really hard time sitting through that.

Another bullet that I appear to have dodged this week is concession stand duty at the Man-Cub's baseball game tonight. I dodged that particular bullet because the game has been cancelled, and, as much as I enjoy watching the Cub play baseball, I think we all know how I feel about fake cheese and rubbery concession stand hotdogs. Blech.

So, instead of slinging Neon Cheeze and stale tortilla chips, I think I will run around the park. Or, you know I will "run". Whatever, my feet will be moving at a speed to which I am unaccustomed and I totally consider that running.

And, I couldn't have done that if I was sitting in a stuffy court room. So, winning!
