We saw the Man-Cub off at the airport early yesterday morning and I worried non-stop until he called at a little past midnight last night to let us know that he had made it safely to Hawaii. I had good reason to worry; his first flight was delayed by an hour, causing him to miss his connecting flight, which meant that he had to actually approach a customer service representative to book a new flight.
By himself.
Mah baybeee!
Anyhoodle, he's squared away again at school, where he will be studying furiously for his finals, I'm sure.
Meanwhile, back on the ranch, I am finally finished decorating the house for Christmas. It looks fabulous, if I do say so myself. The only way to improve upon the outdoor decorations would be to have just a light dusting of snow.
Yes, I said it; I would welcome a snowfall. This may be a first.
However, let's be perfectly clear; it can snow, it just can't snow anywhere near the days that I will have a family member on the road-or in the air-on their way to my house for the holidays.
That's not asking too much, right?
