Friday Favorites

This week I finished transferring 2020 into QuickBooks. The conversion took about 100 hours of data entry; time that was spent hunched over my computer in a position that was really unhealthy. I am paying the price for that with a neck that is still out of sorts, back pain, and numbness in my right leg, caused by too much pressure on my sciatic nerve.  I get that none of this sounds like a topic for a Friday Favorites post, but, go back and read the first line of this paragraph.

I’m done.

Another chore that I finished this week is the editing of the pictures that I took at Kaley’s wedding. That also required a lot of time spent hunched over my computer, further exacerbating the back, neck, and leg issues. The positive here is that the pictures turned out well.

Also, I am done.

So, on to the actual favorite favorites of the week…

The yoga studio that I did candlelight yoga at pre-pandemic just started offering virtual classes. I purchased a buy-one-month-get-one-month-free package and I think I am going to be very happy with the purchase.

Hugh and I listed the house in Neighboring City Wednesday morning; we had seven showings scheduled within the first hour of the listing going live. I am crossing my fingers for a full-price offer. Or, you know, a bidding war for over asking price. Hey, a girl can dream.

I sent off a care package for the Man-Cub this week. It had a Valentine’s Day theme but was less extra than I am used to doing (hey, I was tired, stiff, busy, and fried; he’s lucky I managed anything at all).

I know he will get a kick out of the Jack Links box, and I have no doubt he will appreciate the air purifier (for his allergies), cookie butter, edible spoons, candy, cookies, and Nutella (starving college students don’t usually complain about the gift of junk food).

One of my staff gifted me with a bouquet of flowers yesterday. This job kicks my ass on the regular, but; the staff has really stepped up and I appreciate that. Also, if you had told me a year ago that this particular staff member would be giving me flowers, I would have called you crazy.

Today is the first day of a four-day weekend (assuming I don’t get called in for an emergency). I have big plans, including, wait for it…housework. Ooooh, ahhhhh! Do try not to be jealous.

I also hope to engage in some serious self-care, which, is always a favorite. We shall see.
