Halloween Care Packages 2021

I sent the kids' Halloween packages out last week, and, now that they have had time to receive and open them; I feel safe in posting the contents of the boxes (the Cub doesn't read here, but, Queen B does, on occasion. Hi, Queen B!).

So, what was in the boxes? For the Man-Cub and his girlfriend, I went heavy on consumable items (they will be relocating to the mainland in December, so no sense in adding to their belongings and creating more stress around getting rid of stuff before they move back).

Funfetti Cupcake Mix

Funfetti Frosting

Silicone Cupcake Baking Cups

Hyde and Eek! Gummy Candy Cupcake Decorations

Hyde and Eek! Sugar Cookie Mix

Hyde and Eek! Mad Scientist Gelatin Kit

Monster Trail Mix

Werthers Pumpkin Spice Soft Caramels

Haunt of Fame Adult Coloring Book

Mini Halloween Puzzle

Sour Punch Straws

Warheads Sour Body Parts

Caramel Apple Pops

Witch Finger Candy Coated Pretzel Rods

I decorated the box with a nice assortment of fake cockroaches, just to keep the creepy factor alive and well.

For the girls box, I went light on the candy since neither of them is a huge sweets fan. And, since they have nowhere to relocate anytime soon; I added more household type items.

Halloween Mini Puzzle

2 Halloween themed mugs (one broke in transit, damnit)

Fuzzy Socks

Rae Dunn Halloween Shot Glasses

Since this is the first Halloween box that I have sent to the girls (with the exception of the year that Queen B was on the Front Range for college, she didn't get care packages mailed to her); I took a play from last year's Care Package Playbook and added a few squishy mice and some mouse droppings (chocolate sprinkles, lest you think I'm completely deranged). I figured the Man-Cub had gotten a huge kick out of it, so why not share the joy with the girls.

I'm sure they appreciated the gesture.

Seriously, though, I know that all of the kids appreciate the thought that goes into every box. With the Cub graduating soon, my care package mailing will probably slow down, considerably. Or, maybe it won't. After all, I enjoy putting the packages together every bit as much as the kids enjoy receiving them, so, maybe I'll still be sprinkling mouse turds in boxes when I am old and gray.

Gray-er, obviously.
