Friday Favorites: Things I Am Loving Lately Edition

Another week gone by. At this rate, it will be October before we know it. Which, is fine by me; the quicker October gets here, the quicker November will follow (Thanksgiving with Queen B!), and, then Christmas will be upon us (The return of the Man-Cub!).

But, let's not get ahead of ourselves, here.

On to the favorites!

First up: I am still loving my Nutri Ninja and the smoothies that it makes. My current favorite smoothie flavor is a little something I am calling Chocolate Covered Cherry and it is delicious. I make it with Vega Protein and Greens, which I recently discovered, and, I now have in both chocolate and vanilla flavors. It is packed with protein, relatively low in calories, includes the additional benefits of veggies, and it dissolves completely, with absolutely no gritty residue or chalky taste. I use the chocolate flavor for the Chocolate Covered Cherry smoothie, I mean, obviously.

The recipe is simple; just blend the ingredients:

- 3/4 cup almond milk
- 1 scoop Vega protein powder, chocolate flavor
- 3/4 cup vanilla flavored Greek yogurt
- 3/4 cup frozen dark sweet cherries
- 1/2 frozen banana (which, I just noticed totally looks like a severed penis in the picture below. Good lord, will I ever get a recipe posted that doesn't have something wrong with it?)
- handful of ice cubes

Second: I recently went to the Office Despot to pick up refills for my Franklin Covey Day Planner, just like I have done every year for the past...I don't even know how long. Unfortunately, the Office Despot doesn't carry Day Planner refills anymore; they have moved on to electronic planners almost entirely. Which is....disappointing, to say the least.

So, I went online to order my refills, but, got sidetracked by an ad for Erin Condren planners, which is how I ended up with this...

I love it! When all was said and done, it cost no more than my usual Franklin Covey order, and that's with having it personalized and adding extra inserts. I can't wait until January 1st, when I get to start using it.

Lastly, I have to share the awesome Fitbit bracelets that I ordered on Amazon...

Since I started my latest fitness efforts (I'm going to stick with it this time, I swear!), I have been diligently tracking my steps with my Fitbit Flex. The rubber wristband that came with the Fitbit is just about the ugliest thing ever, and, the more fashionable rubber case that I got for it isn't nearly as fashionable as I wanted. So, I went in search of alternatives and these are what I found.

I especially love the rose gold bracelet, and, since I wear a lot of gold rose jewelry, I have a feeling it will be getting a lot of use.

Obviously the Fitbit is a favorite as well. The walking I have to do to get to 10,000 steps every day? Not so much.
