A friend, and fellow blogger, identified the new diners at the bird buffet! I can always count on him to set me straight on these things-he identified the house finches for me when I kept referring to them as "those brown birds"- and I can't thank him enough.
So, the birds are:
Western Scrub Jay
Evening Grosbeak
Nuthatch
I feel much better knowing what they are and am especially fond of the Nuthatch. I'm like "Welome to the nuthouse, Nuthatch!"
You have to hear it said in person to truly appreciate the humor.
