30 Days of Gratitude, Days Five and Six

Yesterday, I dropped my ballot off at our poling place, so, today I get to say that I voted. It goes without saying that I am grateful to live in a nation that guarantees me the right to do so. Or, maybe it doesn't. Maybe it needs to be said, and, said again. So many other people in the world don't have a right to cast a vote, nor the right to steer their destiny without fear of impunity, so; maybe it's not only important to express gratitude for the right, but, imperative that we do so.

So, I'll say it again: I'm grateful for the ability to vote.

Tomorrow, I'll be grateful that the election is over and that I will no longer be subjected to all of the hateful ads and political rhetoric, but, that's a topic for another day.
