Cruising Toward the End

I'm coming up on the end of the Hawaii posts, I swear. On our second-to-last day on the island, we slept in, dined on bacon and eggs (prepared in that amazing kitchen that I miss, already), and then hit the beach for our Christmas card photo shoot (more in that coming soon).

The Rodeo Princess was interested in seeing Waikiki, and we had tickets for a sunset cruise later that evening, so we drove to Honolulu so that she could see the famous beach and all of the high-end shopping malls surrounding it. Spoiler: she vastly preferred our side of the island and the relatively deserted beaches we enjoyed there.

After site-seeing, we boarded our cruise ship and settled in for a leisurely tour of the shoreline. The drinks were a bit watered down and the snacks were pricey, but you could not beat the view or the company.

When we docked, we grabbed a quick dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory on the HPU campus before heading downtown to tour the city Christmas decorations.

Then we headed home to gather up our belongings so that we would be able to make our 10:00 a.m. check-out the following morning. Queen B and the Rodeo Princess had an early flight, so we wanted them to feel like they had enough time to prepare.

It was a full day.
