Thing #: I got the call on Friday, letting me know that I do not have to report for jury duty tomorrow morning. This is good news for a variety of reasons, not the very least of which is that jury duty would have totally fucked up my plans for a fun and festive long weekend with The Girls. Since the trial is scheduled to go for two weeks, serving on the jury would have also screwed up my plans to stay on top of my duties at Day Job and at the hardware store. Oh, and did I mention that it is a murder trial? A child murder trial? And that the mother is the defendant? Yeah....hard to believe that I could have been impartial, amiright? I'm right.
Thing #2: My recent examination of the goings on down in Cooterville revealed nothing out of the ordinary (unless you count the part where the PA had such a hard time locating my cervix), and, I am now free to go about my business for another three years before repeating the process (minus the part where the medical professional has difficulty finding my cervix, I mean, obviously).
Thing #3: I am scheduled for my annual mammogram tomorrow. And, I went to the dentist yesterday. And, I had the blood work done to ensure that my thyroid meds are getting the job done. Clearly, 'tis the season for poking, prodding, squeezing, scraping, and general undercarriage maintenance of this here body. Oh! And, next month, I get to experience my first colonoscopy! Could my life be more exciting?
Thing #4: I don't actually have a fourth thing, I just dislike lists that end on uneven numbers, so....yeah.
