And The Winner Is...

In my last post, I mentioned a door decorating contest that was being held at Day Job. Today, the winner of the contest was revealed at our corporate Christmas party, and, I am happy to announce that my office mates and I took the top honors, which, consists of bragging rights and a free lunch.

Eh, bragging rights, alone, would have sufficed.

Anyway, it was nice to see the whole office get into the Christmas spirit, and, I'm not kidding when I say that we had some stiff competition, including a happy snowman...

An interesting Christmas tree...

Santa coming down a chimney

Rudolph's...nose? I guess?

And, our biggest competitor, an adorable gingerbread house.

So, what made our display the winner?

Well, it was freaking awesome.

We had a three-dimensional Christmas tree, a twinkling fireplace, a frosty windowpane, and a mantle, complete with "family pictures" (side note: I LOVE my office mates; they are certifiably insane) and stockings, hung on the chimney, with care.

And, it looked amazing in the dark.

Really, how could we lose?

Obviously, we couldn't.

Now, we just need to decide where to put the fireplace once the holidays are over. I'm pulling for inside our office, but, the cleaning lady might disagree.

Maybe we need to add her picture to the photo gallery; that might change her mind.
