Friday Favorites: The Comeback

It's been forever since I did a Friday Favorites post. I would say that I have been too busy baking Christmas cookies to write one, but, we all know that would be a lie; the cookie baking never quite got off the ground this year. Well, it got off the ground, it just didn't fly that far, and, I'm ok with that. Besides, we will be in Mayberry next week, where my mother has more goodies than she knows what to do with, so, no one will go without cavities this holiday season.

And, as always, I digress.

So! Recent favorite things, let's see.

Jack Frost, by Yankee Candles. This is, hands down, my favorite holiday scent. I fell for it a number of years ago and purchased a candle each year around Thanksgiving, burning it throughout each winter.

A few years ago, it disappeared from the shelves and I was left Frost-less.  This Thanksgiving, I was burning the very, very last quarter inch of the last candle in my stash and I decided to go online to search eBay in hopes that someone, somewhere, had a Jack Frost that they were looking to unload. Imagine my surprise when my Google search led me straight to the Yankee Candle website, where, apparently, Jack Frost was back in stock. Not only that, but they were on sale, buy two, get one free. Needless to say, I am now in possession of three large Jack Frost candles, which will last me for a few years.

Basketball bling!

I purchased this necklace and bracelet at the same small boutique where I have purchased all my other sports bling, and, I love it. The bracelet is especially, well, blingie, and I adore the weight of it. Strange? Probably. Do I care? Nope, not at all.

I am wearing them today, when I go to the Man-Cub's game, to cheer his team to (hopeful) victory.

I recently downloaded a Pip Camera app to my phone and I have had the best time playing around with it. It was a free app; free is my favorite price, so it counts on this list twice.

And, that's it for today. I need to get myself up and around so I can go to the hardware store to catch up on my bookkeeping duties. I am off from Day Job today, having already put in my full forty hours between Monday and Thursday, so I am looking forward to some free time this afternoon before the Cub's game.

I don't suppose I have to tell you that I won't spend it baking cookies.

My waistline is going to be so thankful come the new year.
