I went to my first yoga class last night and I really enjoyed it. I found it quite challenging, despite my natural flexibility, and; I left the class feeling relaxed and energized.
Then, I got home, where I immediately fell into a coma, during which I experienced a hot flash every hour on the hour. My horror-mones are really having their way with me, lately and it is rapidly becoming clear to me that Perimenopause isn't for sissies.
I honestly believe it would be even worse if I wasn't exercising and following a healthy diet, so at least I have that on my side. I also hope the addition of yoga will offset the mental and emotional side-effects, to some degree.
Time will tell, I suppose. And, according to the gyno, time is the ultimate cure for this particular ailment, anyway. That's...really not helpful, when you think about it.
I see a lot of downward dog in my fiture.
