The Road Less Traveled

Today, I took the back roads home from work. It's not a path that I usually take, but, I had time to spare and a burning desire to slow down and enjoy the scenery.

I rolled down the window and enjoyed the wind in my hair and the scent of the earth, still damp from late-night storms.

It was a great way to recharge my batteries after a long work week and a great start to the long holiday weekend.

I need to travel the back roads more often, I think.
