It's been pouring buckets here in Petticoat Junction. The ground is completely saturated, puddles are sprouting up with the frequency of newborn rabbits, and, our outdoor projects are at a stand-still.
That's not going to stop me from hosting Porch Night tomorrow evening, however; I don't care if it rains. I don't care if it pours. As long as the wind doesn't blow, we'll be fine. I mean, the porch is covered, after all.
Unfortunately, with the rain has come cooler temperatures, which, could throw a teeny-weensy wrench in the festivities. On the bright side, I have a chest full of quilts and I'm not afraid to use them. I also have hot beverages planned as well as crock-pot appetizers like meatballs and cocktail wieners, so, we will warm up from the inside, out.
And, I mean, it's Porch Night, and only good things happen on the porch.
We'll be fine.
